Trendwest ("we", "us") respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect on this website and in the course of our services, why, and your rights.

1. What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, the service you're interested in, and your message.
• Client portal: if you are a client, your name, work email and the content collaboration data you create (comments, approvals).
• Email: correspondence you send to info@trendwest.co.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The client portal uses strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in.

2. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes you've requested;
• To deliver contracted services (including the client portal);
• To invoice and maintain business records as required by law.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't send marketing you haven't asked for.

3. Where your information is stored

We use reputable service providers to operate this site and our services. Some are located outside South Africa, which means your information may be transferred across borders as permitted by section 72 of POPIA, to providers subject to comparable protection:

• Netlify (website hosting and form submissions — USA/EU)
• Supabase (client portal database — hosted in the EU, London region)
• Google Workspace (email — global infrastructure)
• Airtable (client relationship records — USA)

4. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't become clients: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the duration of the relationship plus 5 years (tax and contractual record-keeping).

5. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Email info@trendwest.co and we'll respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days.

If you believe we've mishandled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za · complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.

6. Security

We use access-controlled, encrypted services; portal data is protected by authenticated, per-client access rules. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, appropriate measures as POPIA requires.
